The design for La Miguería, developed by Plasma Nodo, transforms a simple transit space into a place where people actually want to stay. The concept was to create a small indoor plaza — an oasis of calm within the mall. With an open layout, exposed materials, and a fresh atmosphere, the space invites visitors to step inside and take a break.

The key to the project lies in the contrast of colors and materials. The deep blue of the metal structures adds a modern touch, balanced by the warmth of the brick floor. Concrete walls and light wood furniture act as a neutral backdrop, allowing the main elements to stand out.

At the heart of the design is a central kiosk that organizes the space and instantly draws attention. Its blue framework, decorated with plants and signage, clearly defines the service area. The custom-made furniture, featuring benches at different heights, optimizes the space in a practical and original way.
The result is an atmosphere that perfectly reflects the brand — one of quality and thoughtful detail. Hanging plants bring freshness and help buffer the ambient noise of the mall, while warm lighting creates a cozy, inviting mood. Ultimately, La Miguería is more than a bakery — it’s a place to gather and connect.

A key detail is the herringbone brick floor, whose color and texture add warmth and reinforce the idea of a handmade, artisanal product.
The open, barrier-free entrance naturally draws people in, making the space feel larger and seamlessly connected to the mall corridor.

The ceiling was intentionally left dark, with exposed installations, to keep the visual focus below — on the colorful kiosk, the furniture, and the floor.
Even the functional details, like the golden stanchions that organize the queue, were carefully designed. This subtle touch of shine adds elegance and proves that every aspect of the space was considered.
