The design for Kinky, developed by Plasma Nodo, completely breaks away from the traditional concept of a pet store. The project was conceived as a luxury fashion boutique, creating a space where pet accessories are displayed like jewelry — within a sophisticated and dramatic environment.

The main strategy was to use black as the foundation for the entire space. Painting the walls, ceiling, and shelving in this color creates a striking “black box” effect that achieves two goals: it gives the space a sense of elegance and exclusivity, and it makes the vibrant colors of the products stand out even more dramatically.

Lighting plays the starring role in the design. At the center of the ceiling, a sculptural installation of gold and black pendant lamps draws every eye. More than just illumination, this piece functions as an art object, giving the store a unique visual identity and creating an immediate focal point visible from the mall corridor.

The result is a completely different shopping experience — one that positions the brand within the luxury and lifestyle segment. Plasma Nodo succeeded in creating a distinctive universe for Kinky, a memorable space that perfectly embodies its motto: “Pets with style.”

“Good interior design significantly influences customer satisfaction, which translates into positive reviews and returning guests”

The walls are adorned with large portraits of dogs, styled and photographed like high-fashion models. This gallery-like detail reinforces the idea that Kinky’s products are made for pets with unique personality and attitude.

The display system was intentionally kept simple. Black shelves and hooks provide a neutral backdrop that almost disappears, allowing the colorful collars, leashes, and accessories to become the main decorative feature of the space.

Despite its modern concept, the design includes details that add a touch of classic elegance. Thin gold lines on the walls mimic vintage moldings and, together with the illuminated logo, give the store a refined and polished finish.

The facade acts like the frame of a stage. With its large, open black entrance, it creates a bold contrast with the brightness of the mall, inviting customers into a different world — darker, more intimate, and exclusive.
