Soft Touch
Laureles, Medellín, Colombia
The renewal of Soft Touch began with an existing connection to the brand: several of us were already customers of its ice cream shops in Medellín. Before designing, we visited the shops, tried the products and spoke with customers, staff and owners. We wanted to understand what needed to change and what was worth preserving.

The renewal of Soft Touch began with an existing connection to the brand: several of us were already customers of its ice cream shops in Medellín. Before designing, we visited the shops, tried the products and spoke with customers, staff and owners. We wanted to understand what needed to change and what was worth preserving.
Forms, colours and textures grew out of the products and the memories associated with the brand. A fresh, contrasting palette recalls the familiarity of traditional ice cream shops without copying them literally. Furniture, lighting and graphic elements support that intention.
After developing an initial prototype, we adapted the concept to the Laureles location. PLASMA worked on the interior architecture, layout and furniture; NODO handled production and installation. Vida Útil contributed to the development of decorative lighting, and LOCKER carried out the civil works.
