The redesign of a 1980s apartment in Medellín, bringing together mid-century references, a contemporary outlook and Colombian materials.
In 2026, we were commissioned to redesign a 260 m² apartment in a landmark early-1980s building in Medellín. Our clients, a young couple, wanted a functional home with a clear identity that reflected their way of living.
Mid-century references provided a starting point. We approached them from a contemporary perspective, incorporating colours, textures and materials of Colombian origin. We wanted a coherent relationship between interior architecture and furniture, without turning the apartment into a reproduction of another era.
PLASMA developed the interior architecture and furniture design. NODO was responsible for production, and IXINA manufactured the kitchen.
