Alessa Villa

One of our clients in Saudi Arabia commissioned the interior architecture and furniture design for a 1,500 m² family home in central Riyadh. Before designing, we focused on understanding the family's cultural traditions, aesthetic references and the activities the house needed to accommodate.

Luxury and a strong spatial presence were explicit parts of the brief. We worked with scale, materials and furniture to address this intention, seeking to make each room respond to the family's preferences as well as its everyday and leisure needs.

It was an exercise in listening and interpretation: developing a proposal through our design experience while understanding a way of inhabiting a home different from our own.
