La Miguería – Florida

Taste and Nature in Medellín's West Side

Where tradition meets urban landscape, and illustrations come to life.

In the lively new section of Florida Parque Comercial, on Medellín’s west side with Cerro El Volador as its backdrop, La Miguería opened a new spot that breaks the mold. More than just a store, this space was designed to make the most of its prime location, drawing people in with stunning design and a fresh concept. The challenge was to create a place that was both efficient for quick sales and inviting enough for people to relax and enjoy, making the most of its visual connection to the city’s green lung.

PlasmaNodo took on this project with the goal of blending La Miguería’s essence with its natural and city surroundings. For the first time, we made illustrations a key part of the design, creating a visual conversation with Cerro El Volador. Our aim was clear: keep La Miguería’s efficient sales process, ensure a smooth checkout, and design an open, appealing space that was easy to spot from the bridge connecting the mall’s two sections.

To pull this off, the illustrations became a main feature, creating a unique and welcoming vibe that celebrates nature. A standout central bench acts as a gathering spot, conceptually linking this location to their well-known Viva Envigado store and offering a comfy area for customers. We also added a separate bread counter to speed up flow and sales, making the shopping experience seamless. Gres tile floors and small mosaic tiles at the counter, along with the brand’s signature colors, ground the space in a warm, modern style. And plants, always a part of La Miguería’s projects, truly emphasize that connection to nature.

“Good interior design significantly influences customer satisfaction, which translates into positive reviews and returning guests”

The result is a new spot that significantly expands La Miguería’s offerings and establishes it as a must-visit destination. PlasmaNodo developed a design that lets them serve many customers quickly, while also letting people comfortably enjoy their products inside the store or on its outdoor patio, which offers great views. This space doesn’t just attract with its good looks; it also ensures smooth operations, providing a complete experience that mixes traditional flavors with innovative design and a deep connection to Medellín’s urban landscape.
